Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, the use of the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder, or any other parts that might interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard repair time.
