Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any request for repair will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor is at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
