Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Ensure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a saddlebag, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Misusing this situation on the road will void the product warranty, which starts from the date of purchase, with a right to repair through GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
