Maxia 5 is the fifth version of the MONOKEY® top case, with a capacity of 58 litres. The refreshed design reflects the aesthetic trends of today's motorcycles and maxi scooters, evoking their sleek lines and colour combinations with a strong focus on aerodynamics. A spacious top case, also redesigned structurally: the optimised weight, reaching 5.4 kg, and greater strength make it the ideal companion for worry-free travel. The V58N version features 4 painted covers in metallic grey, red reflectors running along the front, and two chrome decorations on the bottom; a stylish mix that enhances and adds character to the motorcycle. Particularly suited for those who enjoy long motorcycle rides, whether alone or with company, the Maxia 5 top case can hold 2 large modular helmets. Opening and closing are made easier in this version: the comb hinges with a stop allow for the elimination of retaining wires, and a slight pressure on the lid enables slow closure of the lid's edge. The greater adhesion between the two shells also increases security against break-ins. Passenger comfort is guaranteed by the black foam rubber backrest, which can be purchased separately, covered with fabric featuring the logo GIVI, while the inside of the top case is equipped with a soft mat applied to the bottom to prevent items from moving and clashing. An elastic net, anchored to the top case via 4 hooks on the bottom, is also included. A technical fabric document holder and dedicated internal bag are available optional. Standard features include: • Elastic strap to keep the contents stable inside the top case • Soft internal mat applied to the bottom • Internal net applied to the bottom with 4 pre-set hooks • Lid with comb hinges with stop that allows you to say goodbye to retaining cords The new lock of MAXIA 5 makes using the case even more practical, thanks to the new key position at 60°: by turning the key to this position, it is possible to remove it from the lock and open the lid, keeping the inside of the case accessible at all times without necessarily having to insert the key. This new option is advantageous for short trips, when quick access to the case's contents may be useful. However, in the same position, it will not be possible to detach the case from the plate, which will keep the top case securely on the plate. GIVI guarantees a degree of water resistance for its cases equivalent to heavy rain; more specifically, the cases are tested with a special machine that simulates rain at a flow rate exceeding 20 litres/min.
