The ROADTEC™ Scooter stands out for its extreme flexibility and versatility in varying weather conditions, temperatures, and road conditions, in urban settings and beyond.
Grip in all conditions
An improved rubber compound with a high silica content, combined with an optimal groove and siping layout, enhances mechanical and chemical grip in all situations.
The shoulder compound features a higher percentage of silica for a better feel during cornering, especially in wet conditions.
The centre tread is made from a mix of silica and carbon black to improve high-speed stability, heat dissipation, and balance between abrasion resistance and grip.
Versatility in all seasons
The high silica content offers maximum flexibility and versatility across a wide range of temperatures and road conditions, in urban areas and much more.
The ROADTEC™ Scooter is therefore the ideal solution for all-season mobility, regardless of the weather and temperature, providing excellent performance in all situations.
Superior handling and comfort
All structures of the ROADTEC™ Scooter feature adaptive behaviour and a lightweight design that enhances manoeuvrability and riding comfort. Thanks to innovative rounded profiles, the contact patch is short and wide, which not only reduces consumption but also increases uniform wear and provides progressive handling and a sense of security in corners.
The increased ground contact area distributes the vehicle's weight and acceleration forces over a larger surface, reducing strain on the rubber and overheating.
Safety on wet and low-grip surfaces
The tread design of the ROADTEC™ Scooter is inspired by the award-winning ROADTEC™ 01 model, which now features sipes for optimal efficiency on scooters.
This tread design has been developed to enhance mechanical traction, with a clearly noticeable advantage during acceleration and braking.
The shape and layout greatly contribute to maximising water evacuation and mechanical grip.
The contact patch has many grooves and rubber in contact with the road simultaneously, improving mechanical grip, water evacuation, and a feeling of safety; it also ensures more rubber in contact with the ground, especially at mid-lean angles, allowing for better grip from the start of cornering.
The front tyre features many cross grooves that adhere to the asphalt like individual elements and increase the amount of water drained, while the short sipes oriented in the opposite direction improve stability and control during braking. The grooves also help enhance grip on low-grip surfaces and reduce warm-up time.
The rear tyre has wide and long sipes oriented in the opposite direction that combine different effects: during acceleration, the grooves enhance traction, especially on low-grip surfaces, and during braking, the sipes prevent lateral movements and increase stability.
